Geboren in Nove Zamry, Sohn einer alten Musikerdynastie, beginnt im Alter von fünf Jahren mit dem Klavierunterricht. Absolviert von 1976 bis 1984 am Konservatorium und an der Hochschule in Pressburg sein Musikstudium. Mit zusätzlichem Studium für Klavier und Komposition.

1984 bis 1988 arbeitet er als Ballettkorrepetitor am Konservatorium in Pressburg.
Intensive Konzerttätigkeit und zahlreiche Rundfunk- und Fernsehproduktionen als Komponist. Kammermusiker und Vokalbegleiter sowie Arbeiten für die Unterhaltungsmusik und Jazz.

1988 war Frantisek Drafi als Pianist in Deutschland in den Kurorchestern von Bad Aibling, Bad König, etc. tätig.

Seit 1990 spielt er als Ballettkorrepetitor an der Ballettschule der Wiener Staatsoper.

1999 gewann Frantisek Drafi die Goldmedaille als populärer Melodie-Komponist in Bratislava. Sein Musikrepertoire reicht von klassischer Musik über Opern, Operetten, Musical bis zu Evergreens und Jazz.

Im Mai 2008 komponiert Frantisek Drafi das „Das Feuermädchen“, ein Kindermusical für die SUNNY Produktion.

1988 Frantisek Drafi was as a pianist in Germany at the health centre orchestra of Bad Aibling, Bad King, etc..

Since 1990 he plays as piano accompanist for ballet lessons at the ballet school of the Vienna State Opera.

1999 Frantisek, Drafi wins the Goldmedall as the most popular melody composer in Bratislava. His musical repertoire ranges from classical music to operas, operettas, from musical to evergreens and jazz.

In May 2008 the Drafi Frantisek composed "The fire girls", a children's musical for the production SUNNY.
