Carole ALSTON-BUKOWSKY
Born 1957 in Washington D.C. Studied acting, dancing and voice (Musicals). At the Howard University in Washington. Graduation 1979 with honors and the title bachelor of fine Arts. Came 1979 to Europe. Performed on stages in Switzerland, Paris and Germany.
Came 1982 to Vienna where she lives and works. She played main roles in the musicals West Side Story, On the town, Trouble in Tahiti, Godspel, Sweet Charity, The man of La Mancha, Jesus Christ Superstar, Kiss me Kate, Little shop of horror. Celebrated successes in Zürich, Berlin and at the Vienna Volksopera.
As a Bernstein fan she always had the opportunity to perform his mass in Nürnberg, Linz and Prague. She performed Tatiana in A Midsummernightsdream at the Salzburg Festival. Numerous Television Appearances in Austria and Germany including her own show. Round-Christmas-Gospels, Spirituals and Blues at Christmas under the Musical direction of Erich Kleinschuster.
A Gala Performance with the Vienna Choir Boys. Also Featuring Jose Carreras and David Hasselhof. As a Vocalist (Jazz, Gospel and Blues) she toured Europe and has her own Band A taste of Jam. Since 1988 as Jazz teacher and Choreographer for the Vienna State Opera Ballet School.
